Doctrinal Standards
The Scriptures alone are the ultimate and final authority in all matters of faith and practice (Isa. 8:20; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). However, we recognise the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689) to be a sufficient summary statement of what the Scriptures teach and the essence of things most surely believed among us (Luke 1:1).
"But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises."
